Let's Read Georgia's Lit, Love, Read campaign (Feburary 2026)
Regional Literacy Coach, MaryLois Akins-Newsome, provided interactive read alouds in Lincoln and Taliaferro County for Let's Read Georgia's Lit, Love, Read campaign. She read, Charlie Takes a Shot is about the first black man, Charlie Sifford, who played in the PGA. Charlie's first job is a caddie and began his love of golf.
